Throughout the year, the Mission Committee holds responsibility for determining various mission needs and procuring money to support such needs as those listed below:

  • Kemmerer Village
  • Empty Tomb
  • Child Fund International
  • Marion Medical Mission

Also volunteering at:

  • Decatur Downtown Dinner (meals for the homeless)
  • Times Center in Champaign (Shelter for Men)

We also worked with Thirst Missions for our recent 2015 international mission trip to Belize. For more information, click here.

Another unique volunteer opportunity for those interested involves the WBGL Christian radio station. Volunteer opportunities include front desk work, the prayer team, the fundraiser team, and the special events team. For more information, click here!

Belize Mission Trip Group

FPC had a wonderful time working with Thirst Missions in Belize!

Malawi Well MissionMalawi Well Mission 2The Mission Committee also coordinated supplemental offerings to help support the Marion Medical Mission trip to Malawi to build shallow wells, the middle school mission trip to Mountaintop, TN and to support God's Littlest Angels in Haiti.

The Mission Committee organized a work day at Kemmerer Village as well as Operation Christmas Child where over 130 boxes were filled by our church family.

Mission Committee organized One Great Hour of Sharing, Peacemaking Offering and Christmas Joy Offering.
